Indonesia Traditional “Kebaya”

In many parts of Indonesia, the kebaya is seen as a strong nationalistic symbol and has been strongly supported as a symbol of identity for Indonesian women by prominent figures throughout the nation’s history.

Recently, this traditional dress has become recognized internationally as it is used as the uniform for flight attendance ( stewardesses) on Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines and Garuda Indonesia.

Now, in Indonesia “Kebaya” is not only known on the Java island but people have started to develop “Kebaya” Indonesia respective areas and also well known in many countries. We think “Kebaya” in the future has a lot of interesting models that will be liked many young people. Now “Kebaya” not too exist. I expect the government to encourage young people to develop “Kebaya”. “Kebaya” that can exist again.

We believe that “Kebaya” have advantages for its users. The advantages is women will look more elegant and feminine. While now there are still doubts for young women to wear “Kebaya” because another people will pretend that it is an old fashionable than his friends who wear clothes from abroad. and young women are considered “Kebaya” outfit those who are old. 

We supposed to introduce the children since they were child about “Kebaya”. So when they grown up,  they can introduce their culture to their children and grandchildren. And we hope the government and the Minister of Education and Culture introduce “Kebaya” through schools and social media. As well as making competitions and events that could increase the creativity of the nation against the “Kebaya”.

When we supposed to browse the internet, we saw a good article. It is talking about an event who had been did in Jakarta. That is a good idea from the producer team that make and event by adding “Kebaya” for the participants who have been participated. So we are believe that “Kebaya” will have more Attendance that everybody in the universe wear “Kebaya”.
